Following last month’s promotion of Justin Johnson to Program Director following Rick Strauss’ retirement, Hearst Rock “98 Rock” WIYY Baltimore has promoted Creative Services Producer Scott Lester to Programming and Production Coordinator effective October 1.
In a memo to staff, Johnson wrote, “Scott will take on the position of Programming and Production Coordinator, bringing his deep passion for the 98 Rock brand, its talent, and rock music to the forefront. To maximize various experiences in radio, Scott will oversee production, help shape our music direction, and contribute creatively to our promotions. Please join us in congratulating Scott on his exciting new chapter with 98 Rock!”
Lester has served as Creative Services Producer for WIYY and News/Talk 1090/101.5 WBAL since December 2021. He previously spent a decade at iHeartMedia as a producer for the syndicated “Kane Show” and “Club Kane” along with being a programming assistant for CHR “Z104.3” WZFT Baltimore. He began his career at Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX as morning show producer.
