Colorado Public Radio has tabbed Bazi Kanani as its new local “Morning Edition” host from 4-9am starting Monday, April 27.
Kanani joined CPR in 2024 as co-host of its daily Colorado Today podcast. She previously spent eight years in Denver as a reporter and anchor for KUSA-TV and has also held television roles in Las Vegas, Lansing, Buffalo, and was a Kenya based correspondent for ABC News.
She said, “Morning Edition has been part of my own daily routine for decades, so I personally know how much value the program provides for keeping people informed on what’s happening in our world and right at home, in our local communities. I’m honored to be part of carrying on this important work with my colleagues at CPR News.”
CPR News Executive Editor Kevin Dale said, “She quickly established herself as an engaging host with the authoritative voice of the veteran that she is. We’re thrilled to have Bazi bring her strong editorial judgement and enthusiasm for Colorado stories to Morning Edition.”
