The Columbus OH based Sol Tsonis has exited iHeartMedia as part of the company’s cuts earlier this month.
Tsonis most recently served as afternoon co-host with Chris Davis and solo evening host on CHR 97.9 WNCI as well as afternoons on “Channel 99.9” WCHD Dayton, nights on “96.5 Kiss-FM” WAKS Cleveland and weekends on “Kiss 107” WKFS Cincinnati.
She told RadioInsight, “After nearly a decade with iHeartRadio, this chapter of my career is coming to a close. My position was impacted as part of the company’s recent budget reductions. I’m incredibly proud of this journey—from co-hosting afternoons in Columbus, to becoming the first female night show host on the legendary WNCI, to connecting with listeners in my hometown of Dayton (WCHD), and being part of shows across Cleveland (WAKS) and Cincinnati (WKFS).These experiences, shows and the communities behind them, have meant everything to me. To everyone who supported, listened, and grew with me along the way—thank you. Your support has never gone unnoticed.”
