Colorado Public Radio has announced the appointment of Jessi Whitten as Program Director of AAA “Indie 102.3” KVOQ Greenwood Village/Denver.
The move marks a full-time return of Whitten to the station where she served as Music Director and host for “Open Air” which would evolve into Indie 102.3 from 2011 until 2020. Since then she has served as Director of Audience and Partnerships at Levitt Pavilion and a part-time host at the station. Prior to joining KVOQ, she was MD for the University of Colorado’s “Radio 1190” KVCU Boulder.
CPR SVP/Content & Planning Sean Nethery said, “After a rigorous national recruitment, it is clear that Jessi has the mix of passion, skills, experience and strategic mindset to help the team and the organization move Indie forward.”
Whitten will start in her new role on June 8. She said, “I am thrilled to rejoin this incredibly talented team on a dedicated basis to help bring the future of Indie 102.3 into focus.”
