Cumulus Media Variety Hits “102.5 Jack-FM” K273BZ/KCMO-HD2 Kansas City will begin simulcasting on 107.3 KMJK North Kansas City at midnight tonight.
The move places the Jack-FM brand back on a full powered signal in Kansas City for the first time since the brand moved from 105.1 KCJK Garden City to the translator in June 2016. Kansas City was one of the first “Jack-FM” launches in the United States when it debuted on 105.1 in October 2004.
The move comes as Steel City Media’s competing Variety Hits “102.1 Bob-FM” KCKC has been climbing in the ratings jumping from a 4.6 share in June to a 6.3 share in July. The Jack brand serves as a flanker in Kansas City to Cumulus Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM, which had been dominating the market with shares in the mid teens prior to Cumulus dropping Nielsen at the end of 2025.
The move of Jack-FM to 107.3 KMJK follows its previous CHR “107.3 The Vibe” programming moving to KCJK as “Hits 105” two weeks ago replacing Hip Hop “Power 105.1“. The 107.3 signal covers the Missouri side of the Kansas City market, while K273BZ adds downtown and adjacent suburbs.
