Usher Media Group has introduced the new on-air lineup for recently launched “Country One” 106.9 KOPW Plattsmouth/Omaha NE.
Kate Brennan will host mornings from 6-10am. The Omaha based Brennan also tracks shifts for multiple Eagle Media stations in Kansas and Nebraska.
Ritch Cassidy will host middays from 10am to 2pm. Cassidy previously spent eight years at iHeartMedia Omaha hosting middays on Country 103.7 KXKT and then mornings at Classic Country “93.3 The Wolf” KFFF until exiting in 2020. Cassidy has also held roles as Operations Manager for NRG Media Wausau WI and worked on-air in Lincoln NE.
Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ-FM PD/morning co-host Meg Rieder will pull double-duty in afternoons. Prior to joining KQKQ-FM in December 2023, Rieder hosted middays at Country “KX 96.9” KZKX Lincoln and at Rock “Z92” KEZO-FM Omaha.
Derek Beck will follow in nights from 7pm-12am. Beck currently operates “Your AG Network” and previously served as Operations Manager for Eagle Media North Platte NE where he hosted mornings on Country “Q107.3” KNPQ preceded by positions in McCook and Scottsbluff NE.
KOPW flipped to Country on August 13.
