After 21 years at Cumulus Media Adult R&B “92Q” WQQK Goodlettsville/Nashville TN, Kenny Smoov exited the station and his role as VP/Urban Formats for the company.
Smoov has spent time in multiple dayparts during his over two decade run at the station including hosting mornings from 2018 until 2025. He had been heard in middays since last July. His departure follows the station’s cancellation of “The 615 Wake-Up” and layoff of hosts Sissy Brown and Khristal ‘Witta Eye’ Majors last month. Prior to Nashville, Smoov previously programmed in markets including Alexandria and New Orleans LA, Greensboro NC and Myrtle Beach SC. Andd uring his tenure in Nashville, he also programmed CHR “i106.7” WNFN.
Rising to Cumulus VP/Urban Formats in June 2019, Smoov oversaw 37 stations in 25 markets at the time of his appointment and hosted afternoons on Westwood One’s “The Touch” Adult R&B network.
