WQBU New York Meets Its Mami

Mami 92.7 New York WQBU Salsa Bachata Merengue La Que Buena QueBuena UnivisionUnivision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 92.7” WQBU-FM Garden City/New York has flipped to Spanish Tropical “Mami 92.7“.

The new format billed as “Los Palos Mas Grandes de Todos los Tiempos” is a mix of Spanish bachata, salsa, and merengue targeting the older demos of SBS’ “Mega 97.9” WSKQ.

WQBU is a 2kw rimshot into New York broadcasting from near the Queens/Nassau County line and putting most of its coverage over those counties and The Bronx. The station also has two boosters to improve its coverage over portions of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The previous Regional Mexican format will remain as a webcaster at LaQueBuenaNY.com.
