Clear Channel’s syndicated Bobby Bones Show, based at “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin, will transition from serving CHR to Country stations.
The show is currently heard on 18 stations primarily in the central and southern parts of the country. The biggest of which is “Z107.7” KSLZ St. Louis. Bones will do his final show for CHR stations on Friday, February 8.
In Austin, the show will move to Clear Channel’s 100.7 “KASE 101” while the program itself will become based at “The Big 98” WSIX Nashville. To make room for Bones at KASE, their current morning show Bama, Rob, and Heather will move to 98.1 KVET. The current KVET morning team will be split up with Chris Mosser moving to afternoons and Anne Hudson heading to middays at KASE.
Other new affiliates for the show will include “106.1 The Twister” KTGX Tulsa, “93.7 The Bull” KSD-FM St. Louis where incumbent morning hosts Mason & Remy will shift to afternoons, “Cat Country 107.1” WCKT Fort Myers, “B100” WOBB Albany, GA, “Kicker 95.1” KYKR Beaumont and 98.1 WTKT Tuscaloosa which will all eplace Big D & Bubba.
The show will debut on WSIX on February 18 and the rest of the new affiliates on February 25.
Bones and current sidekicks Amy and Lunchbox will continue to have their daily show syndicated by Clear Channel through Premiere Radio Networks. Bones will also host a weekly countdown “Country Top 30” for the network beginning the weekend of March 2. He also currently co-hosts a weekend show for Fox Sports Radio with tennis star Andy Roddick.
