Texas Country “94.7 Badlands FM” is off the air in Corpus Christi in what they are claiming is a “contract dispute”.
Davila Broadcasting’s 94.7 KBSO has replaced the previous format with “My 94.7“. The new format, billed as “Corpus Christi’s Country“, is a mix of contemporary Country and Texas artists. The station lists Kevin Fowler, George Straight (sp?), Blake Shelton, Randy Rogers, Stoney Larue, Josh Abbott, Dierks Bentley, Rich O’Toole, and Miranda Lambert as core artists on the new station. Easton Santos, who had been programming Texas/Classic Country 1150 KCCT is PD and MD of the new station.
Badlands had been off the air for the past week, claiming that a part went out on their tower and was awaiting replacement. Now they are stating that the station owner chose a new group to take over the station’s lease instead of renewing their lease. Badlands is planning to continue online streaming while finding a new frequency to lease.

The new “My 94.7” format fills the void made by the departure of Country 103.7 KOUL in early May following that station’s sale and flip to Christian CHR “Air 1“.
