The Dallas/Fort Worth market will gain its second ESPN Radio affiliate on Wednesday, July 24.
1460 KCLE Burleson/Fort Worth/93.1 K226BM Cleburne will drop its Classic/Texas Country format and debut a schedule that will compliment ESPN’s 103.3 KESN Allen/Dallas. The station’s daytime programming will feature ESPN Radio network programming that is not carried by 103.3. While KESN carries Mike & Mike in the morning and the first two hours of Colin Cowherd, “ESPN 1460” will air a local Sports talk morning show from 6-9am and continue its long=running “DFW Tradefair” tradio program from 9-11. After KESN shifts to local programming at 11am, KCLE will pickup the network programming. ESPN has a similar arrangement in Los Angeles where 830 KLAA carries the national programming not heard on 710 KSPN.
KCLE operates with 11kW daytime and 700 watts nighttime serving the southwestern portions of the Dallas/Fort Worth market. Its daytime coverage area includes Fort Worth and Arlington.
