Following the completion of the move of 104.3 WAXY-FM from West Palm Beach into the Miami market, Midway Broadcasting has applied to upgrade the signal of 104.7 WFLM White City. The station has proposed to move to the Indian River Community College tower site of 88.9 WQCS Fort Pierce where it would shift to 104.5 and upgrade from a Class C3 operating with 17.5kW at 119 meters to a C2 with 50kW at 113.2 meters.
As they exercise their option to purchase 1490 KLGO Austin and 99.3 KOKE-FM Thorndale, TX from REO Radio Group for $3.2 Million, Genuine Austin Radio has applied to increase the FM from a Class A operating with 6kW at 100 meters to a C3 with 24kW at 100 meters.
EMF Broadcasting has amended its application to relocate 97.5 W248AW Franklin, IN into Indianapolis. The translator will operate with 250 watts rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of Emmis’ 97.1 WLHK.
Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves continues to accumulate translators in North Carolina. The group has acquired 93.5 W228CM Greensboro from Wake Forest University for $120,000. The translator CP will operate with 200 watts. The group also purchased 101.1 W267AM Mocksville/Winston-Salem from Triad Family Network for $150,000. The 33 watt translator has a CP to upgrade to 250 watts rebroadcasting Curtis’ Talk 600 WSJS.
Radio Arts Foundation, operators of Classical 107.3 K297BI St. Louis are outright purchasing the translator from Missouri River Christian Broadcasting for $110,000.
With an outstanding proposed rulemaking to add a Class A signal on 103.3 in Water Mill, NY, Sacred Heart University is seeking to get their 103.3 W277AB Noyack, NY moved beforehand. They have applied to relocate to 107.5 should the future displacement take place.
