WLYK Shifts To CHR

Kiss 102.7 The Lake WLYK Cape Vincent Kingston RogersRogers Media has flipped AC “102.7 The Lake” WLYK Cape Vincent NY/Kingston ON to CHR “Kiss 102.7“.

Now branded as “Kingston’s #1 Hit Music Station”, it is running with 10,000 songs in a row. The move comes just one year after WLYK segued from Adult Standards to AC. With the format change, WLYK morning host Jack Thompson has announced his retirement from radio.

The new format places the station in direct competition with Bell Media’s “98.3 Fly-FM” CFLY.

  1. With it’s border blaster status, They seem to be bypassing a lot of the required Canadian Content (although not completely), which may or may not give them an edge against CFLY.
