Update 11/7: With the sale of KSIQ filed to with the FCC, EMF has begun a network affiliation agreement to begin programming the station immediately. As of this morning KSIQ has flipped to EMF’s “Air1” Christian CHR network.
Cherry Creek Radio will receive $1 Million in the sale of the station.
Original Report 11/1: Educational Media Foundation is expanding into San Diego with the acquisition of rimshot CHR “Q96.1” KSIQ Campo from Cherry Creek Radio.
The purchase price has yet to be announced as the deal is not yet filed with the FCC. KSIQ operates with 25kW at a mere 31 meters but utilizes a 700 watt booster in Santee to cover San Diego proper.
EMF currently operates 100.1 KLVJ Julian that programs its Christian AC “K-Love” network in northeastern parts of the San Diego market, but does not reach the city itself.
EMF also has agreed to swap 104.7 KKCS Calhan/Colorado Springs and $400,000 to United States CP for Country “Kickin 106.9” KIQN Pueblo.
More EMF acquisitions.
When does it all end? (Maybe I should ask Harold Camping.)
