Educational Media Foundation is making moves to increase its coverage in San Francisco.
EMF has applied to relocate Christian AC “K-Love” 107.3 KLVS Livermore from 8.1kW at 491 meters to 880 watts at 894 meters while moving 7 miles closer to the San Francisco Bay. EMF also has Construction Permits for on-channel boosters operating with 320 watts in Oakland, 5kW in Hayward, and 1kW in Concord. EMF has also been granted a translator, 104.1 K281BU San Francisco operating with 10 watts at 457.6 meters from the tower site of 96.5 KOIT and 104.5 KFOG in downtown San Francisco.
Also in San Francisco, Ed Stolz’ Golden State Broadcasting has applied to boost CHR “Rev 92.7” KREV Alameda from 3.6kW at 128 meters to 6kw at 100 meters from the tower of 1260 KSFB San Francisco.
Common Frequency, Inc has requested that the FCC delete its application to relocate 91.1 KXRY Portland to 101.5. The currently silent KXRY holds a CP to operate with 8 watts at -14.9 meters.
The new translator grants continue to roll-in. Clear Channel is once again among the recipient of the most grants as its various license holding companies gain the following CP’s:

River Vale Media Foundation gains a pair of CP’s within the boundaries of New York City. 98.3 W252CS Brooklyn will operate with 10 watts at 101.7 meters from near the base of the Brooklyn Bridge (Coverage Map). 101.5 W268BY Queens will run with 38 watts at 64.9 meters near Citi Field in Flushing (Coverage Map). Both translators will rebroadcast 93.5 WVIP New Rochelle.
Sandyworld has applied to relocate 106.7 W294AH Columbus, OH to 96.7 where it will operate with 99 watts at 402 meters rebroadcasting Salem’s 98.9 WTOH Columbus. The translator has been silent since Clear Channel moved what is now 106.7 WCGX Dublin into the Columbus market.
Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves continues to make moves in North Carolina. In a deal yet to be filed with the FCC, Eastern has agreed to purchase 100.3 W262BM Charlotte from Isothermal Community College. The 10 watt translator currently rebroadcasts 88.7 WNCW Spindale, NC.
In the Greensboro/Winston-Salem market, Eastern Airwaves applied to upgrade 104.5 W283BT Burlington from 16 to 190 watts rebroadcasting Sports 1200 WSML Graham. Triad Family Network applies to upgrade the CP of 104.9 W285EU Jamestown from 9 to 99 watts rebroadcasting Curtis’ Sports 1230 WMFR High Point.
Edgewater Broadcasting has agreed to sell the CP for 104.1 K281BP Abeline, TX to Armida A. Saille for $32,500. Saille will use the translator to rebroadcast 92.1 KGDL Trent.
