Boston University’s 90.9 WBUR-FM Boston continues to grow its network in Southeastern Massachusetts.
89.1 WBUH Brewster, MA will sign-on today as a 24/7 simulcast of WBUR-FM bringing the station’s programming to Cape Cod around the clock. Boston University acquired the Construction Permit for the station earlier this year from Home Improvement Ministries for $7,500 and just beat the three year deadline to build the station before its CP would expire.
WBUH will operate with 42kW at 55 meters covering much of the Cape (Coverage Map). WBUR’s programming is heard on parts of Cape Cod on a part-time basis on a pair of high school stations: 90.3 WCCT-FM Harwich and 91.5 WSDH Sandwich. The WBUR network also includes 92.7 WBUA Tisbury on Martha’s Vineyard.
Actually 91.5 WSDH stopped running programming from WBUR once they acquired 92.7.. Hopefully the same will happen with WCCT now, as I’m sure WBUH will cover that area fine.
