The move will improve KQIE’s coverage in the western parts of the Riverside/San Bernardino market including Rancho Cumcamonga and Ontario (Coverage Map).
Apex Broadcasting Variety Hits “SC 103.1” WVSC Parris Island, SC seeks to modify its CP to return to its current Class C3 status with 6.6kW at 149.4 meters (Coverage Map).
Marion Williams’ Rhythmic CHR “Smokin 99.1” WSMK Buchanon, MI/South Bend, IN applies to move a few miles south to the tower of sister 1290 WNIL Niles while doubling its power to 6kW at 96.4 meters. The move will improve WSMK’s coverage within the South Bend market (Coverage Map).
Adams Radio’s newly acquired 107.7 WKHI Fruitland/Salisbury, MD seeks to modify its CP to increase from a Class A to B1. The new move will see WKHI remain on its current tower but increase power from 5.3kW at 106 meters to 23kW at 104.8 meters (Coverage Map).
Radioactive, LLC’s silent 95.9 WIQI Watseka, IL applies to increase to 6kW at 74 meters (Coverage Map).
Williams Broadcasting’s Christian 92.7 KJAK Slaton/Lubbock, TX has been operating under an STA since the beginning of February with 650 watts at 168 meters after its tower was struck by an aircraft. KJAK has applied to relocate to the tower of EMF’s 90.9 KKLU Lubbock where it will operate with 100kW at 182 meters (Coverage Map).
Translator Changes
A busy week for translator modifications in Orlando and West Palm Beach, FL.
Starting in Orlando, Salem Media holds a CP to relocate 105.5 W288BI Deltona, FL to Orlando with 250 watts at 132 meters. However access to the tower has been suspended by the owner to not disturb seasonal bird nesting. In order to get the currently silent translator back on the air before its license would expire on April 24, Salem seeks to operate with 60 watts at 134 meters. W288BI will rebroadcast Salem’s Christian Preaching 950 WTLN Orlando (Coverage Map).
iHeartMedia is seeking modifications to two of its Orlando area translator CP’s. 97.1 W246BO Deltona will still move to 96.9, but now with 250 watts at 145 meters (Coverage Map). Concurrently, 97.1 W246BT Clermont will continue to operate with 27 watts at 80 meters but adjust its directional pattern (Coverage Map). Both translators will rebroadcast 101.1 WJRR-HD2 Cocoa Beach.
Down in West Palm Beach, Digity Media’s pending acquisition 96.3 W242CI Jupiter applies to increase power to 201 watts at 128 meters rebroadcasting a subchannel of 102.3 WMBX Jensen Beach (Coverage Map). iHeartMedia applies to modify its CP for 93.3 W227CX Tamarac to operate with 132 watts at 149 meters rebroadcasting 92.1 WRLX-HD2 (Coverage Map).
After getting bumped off 100.3 by the sign-on of WLML-FM Lake Park and operating on an STA at 105.5, Reach Communications has applied to make the move of W262AN Tamarac, FL official. Covering North Miami and Hollywood, W262AN seeks to operate with 85 watts at 269 meters rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of iHeart’s 94.9 WMGE Miami Beach (Coverage Map).
Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves applies to make a few changes in North Carolina. 98.3 W252CZ Wake Forest proposes a move to 98.1 in Rolesville with an increase to 250 watts at 140 meters (Coverage Map). 98.7 W254AS Louisburg will also move to Rolesville with 250 watts at 156 meters (Coverage Map). Both translators will rebroadcast HD subchannels of 94.7 WQDR-FM Raleigh.
Over in Greensboro, 104.7 W284BN applies to increase to 150 watts at 102 meters rebroadcasting Sports 1320 WCOG Greensboro (Coverage Map).
Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls’ 91.7 W219CW Danbury, NC applies to move to Mount Olive with 10 watts at 301 meters rebroadcasting 89.9 KAWZ Twin Falls, ID (Coverage Map).
Adams Radio’s 100.3 W262BF Georgetown, DE applies to move to 100.7 from the tower of sister 93.5 WZBH Millboro where it will operate with 250 watts vertically at 122 meters rebroadcasting WZBH (Coverage Map).
SSR Communications has closed on its acquisition of 103.5 K278CF Tallulah, LA and applies to move it to Jackson, MS with 250 watts at 336 meters with a Mattoon Waiver to rebroadcast co-owned Christian/Bluegrass 1120 WTWZ Clinton (Coverage Map).
Scott Communications’ 100.1 W261CS Livingston, AL seeks to move its transmitter to Meridan, MS with 250 watts at 131 meters rebroadcasting EMF’s 93.5 WMLV Butler, AL (Coverage Map).
