CBS Hot AC “Fresh 102.7” WWFS New York has filled its lineup with new morning and afternoon shows.
Cane Peterson, who joined WWFS last fall for the morning slot after Jim Douglas was let go, will be joined by current midday host Karen Carson for “Carson & Cane”. Former co-host Kim Berk was let go in July as part of CBS Radio’s cuts across the country. Peterson is best known in the New York market for his many years in afternoons at the former “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK and as a VH1 VJ. Matt Sneed moves from weekends to fill the midday slot.
Two newcomers to the station will take the afternoon slot that has been vacant since Dylan exited the station earlier this year. Trey Morgan, former late night host at CHR “Z100” WHTZ and most recently APD/MD/Midday host at iHeartMedia’s “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles, will be joined by Ghia in the 3-7pm slot. Ghia previously co-hosted “The Big Philly Show” at “Wired 96.5” WRDW-FM Philadelphia and most recently was working weekends and fill-in at Cumulus’ 95.5 WPLJ New York.
Both shows debuted on Monday, August 3.
