The first station in the country to adopt the “More-FM” branding has reverted back to utilizing its “96.9 WINK-FM” call letters as its moniker.
The Fort Myers Broadcasting AC adopted the More branding in February 2013 when it shifted from Hot AC. The Moyes Research Associates brand would later be adopted by WBEB Philadelphia and many Saga Communications owned stations among others. In the Spring 2015 Nielsen Audio ratings WINK-FM had plummeted to a 1.3 share from a 3.6 a year prior.
The station’s website lists former “Sunny 104.3” WEAT-FM West Palm Beach PD/Morning host Rick Shockley as Program Director as opposed to Nick Craig. Craig had joined WINK-FM as PD at the beginning of this year. The station is advertising openings for a new morning and midday host.
