Update 12/26: CHFT completed its reconstruction and relaunched as Variety Hits “100.5 Cruz-FM” at 10:00am. The station is branding itself as “Fort Mac’s Greatest Hits” with a mix of music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The station’s airstaff will debut on January 6.

Original Report 12/22: Last week we reported that Harvard Broadcasting AC “Lite 95.7” CKEA Edmonton may be relaunching as Variety Hits “Cruz-FM” after the holidays. It looks as though it may not be the only Harvard station to make that shift.

Classic Rock “100.5 K-Rock” CHFT Fort MacMurray is teasing a big reveal for December 26 on its currently “Under Construction” website. Harvard purchased CHFT from Newcap this summer. Domain registrations were made for 1005CruzFM.com, CruzFM1005.com and their .ca counterparts in September.

In Regina, a number of domains have been registered for a possible rebranding at AC “My 92.1” CHMX. 921Cruz.com, 921CruzFM.com, 92Cruz.com, 92CruzFM.com, Cruz92.com, Cruz921.com, Cruz92FM.com, CruzFM921.com, CruzFMRegina.com, and CruzRegina.com were all registered on December 19.
