Starting with 10,000 “jointz in a row”, the station kicked off with Kanye West/Jay-Z’s “H*A*M”.
Original Report 9/15: Clear Channel has dropped its simulcast of News/Talk 1370 WSPD Toledo on 94.9 W235BH Perrysburg, OH and is currently stunting with Christmas Music as “94.9 The Yule” via 92.5 WVKS-HD2.
While running sweepers positioning itself as “Toledo’s Year Round Christmas Music Station” it is also contradicting itself stating a new format will launch on Tuesday at 11:00am. At that time the station will become Urban “94.9 The Beat“. A stream for the station with the new logo and branding is already live on IHeartRadio.
An Urban format will take on a pair of rimshots: URBan Radio Broadcasting’s “Hot 97.3” WJZE Oak Harbor and Welch Communications’ “107.3 The Juice” WJUC Swanton. W235BH is owned by Educational Media Foundation and was recently granted a CP to increase from 55 watts at 129 meters to 99 watts (Coverage Map).
