Cumulus Media’s News Talk 640/103.5-HD2, WFNC in Fayetteville, NC is looking for the next great host of the most active morning show in the market, Good Morning Fayetteville. This high-profile opportunity will place the right candidate in the middle of conversations that affect citizens’ lives, engaging with decision-makers and asking the questions those citizens would ask.
The ideal candidate will be a news/talk junkie with an ability to identify stories that impact the average 45-64 year old adult, possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our Opportunity
Good Morning Fayetteville is entering its 12th year as the Cape Fear Region’s Information Crossroads. Our team – and the show’s retiring host – have set a standard of welcoming the area’s political leaders, public officials, business movers and shakers, community activists and artisans, presenting their stories via knowledgeable and entertaining interviews.
The next host of Good Morning Fayetteville will bring a thirst for information and an ability to conduct interviews in a friendly, conversational manner. Our listeners and guests expect nothing less. Creating and executing a podcast extension of the show will be important. Lastly, the GMF host will represent the station at community events and host live, remote versions of the show.
A passion for news and informing the listeners – along with a dedication to getting the job done right – is key to this position.

Qualifications/Requirements:
– On-air or comparable experience with live performance
– Proficiency in audio editing and Adobe Audition preferred
– Experience operating broadcast equipment and software preferred
– Promptness and reliability
– Knowledgeable of the Fayetteville area (or willingness to learn)
– Social Media Engagement
– People Skills / Team Player
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
