Entercom has signed an extension with the NFL’s Houston Texans to keep the franchise’s programming on their stations through the end of the 2027 season. “Sports Radio 610” KILT and Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM will continue to air all of the team’s play-by-play coverage in English, while Spanish CHR “Mega 101” KLOL will do the same in Spanish. 610 KILT will continue to air three-hour long pre and post-game shows as well as “Texans All Access” from 6-8pm weekdays during the regular season and 6-7p during the offseason and the “Coach Bill O’Brien Show” from 5-6pm on Mondays during the season. Entercom’s “SportsRadio 610” KILT Houston is debuting a new on-air lineup on Tuesday, May 29. Paul Gallant will move from hosting nights to join Mike Meltser and Seth Payne’s “MAD Radio” in mornings. Landry Locker, who currently produces the morning show, will join the midday “In The Loop” from 10am-2pm along with incumbent host John Lopez and former night host Fred Davis. Cody Stoots exits with the changes. The new lineup gives KILT a trio of three person shows including the afternoon “Triple Threat” with Sean Pendergast, Rich Lord and Ted Johnson. CBS Sports 610 KILT Houston is promoting a #NewDay610 for Tuesday, May 31. On that day the station will launch a new programming schedule following the exit of Nick Wright to Fox Sports 1 in April. The Houston Chronicle reports that current middayers Mike Meltser and Seth Payne will move from 10am-2pm up the the 6-10am morning slot. John Lopez, who had been co-hosting mornings with Wright, will move to middays where he will be paired with Cody Stoots and former NFL receiver Dante Hall.
Nick Wright is exiting mornings at CBS Sports 610 KILT Houston to host a yet to be announced daily show on FS1. Wright joined KILT in 2012 from afternoons at Entercom Sports 610 KCSP Kansas City. His co-host John Lopez remains in place at KILT. The Houston Chronicle reports that Wright will co-host a new daily Los Angeles based show with one of FS1’s “most recognizable personalities.” Wright’s final day on KILT will be Friday, April 8. He has written a farewell letter to his Houston audience on KILT’s website.
Lineup changes are on deck at CBS’ 94.1 WIP-FM Philadelphia and 610 KILT Houston. After being off-air for the past two weeks while negotiating a new contract, afternoon co-host Glen Macnow has agreed to a new deal, but will not be returning to the afternoon show at WIP. Macnow will host a Saturday morning show with Ray Didinger while contributing to sister News 1060 KYW’s Reporters Roundtable and WIP/1210 WPHT’s pre and postgame coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies. Replacing Macnow in afternoons with Anthony Gargano will be Rob Ellis, who currently hosts the 6-10pm show on WIP-FM. Ellis’ night slot will be filled by Josh Innes.
