Univision Deportes Radio Officially Launches

Univision Deportes Radio 1280 WADO New York 1020 KTNQ Los Angeles 1200 WRTO ChicagoUnivision has completed the roll-out of the new “Univision Deportes Radio” on ten of its stations across the country.

As announced last December, the network is airing on 1280 WADO New York, 1020 KTNQ Los Angeles, 1200 WRTO Chicago, 1270 KFLC Dallas, 1010 KLAT Houston, 1140 WQBA Miami, 105.1 KHOV Phoenix, 870 KLSQ Las Vegas, 1350 KCOR San Antonio, and 1530 KGBT McAllen TX.

The network’s schedule (all times Eastern) features:

Buenos Dias America (M-F, 6 a.m. /ET) –Network morning drive show that will provide audience with the most important information covering national and international news, with a special attention to news from LATAM. The show will focus on a broader Hispanic audience, covering entertainment, comedy and of course, sports. Hosted by Ino Gomez, the show has co-hosts based in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

El Tiradero (M-F, 10 a.m. /ET) – Sports comedy program, where content is based on the analysis and debate of the different topics, such as News, play-by-play and interviews. Satire and good humor are the basis of the themes, where the touch of specialists will balance in the different sections. The three-hour program will also have segments and reports of what is happening in the sports world, as the main center of analysis will be Mexican soccer, MLS, football in Europe, and South America. Features: Sergio Alvarado and Milton Arellano.

Contacto Deportivo Radio (M-F, 2 p.m. /ET) – Univision Deportes’ flagship studio show, feeds sports-hungry fans with highlights, game stats and inside stories on the teams and leagues they care about most with a focus on Hispanic athletes. Simulcast, the radio version features Julio Cesar Quintanilla, Javier “Zully” Ledesma and Reinaldo Navia, while the TV version (M-F, midnight/ET) features Lindsay Casinelli, Ivan Kasensew and Adriana Monsalve.

Locura Deportiva (M-F, 6 p.m. /ET) – Daily sports show hosted by José Luis López Salido and simulcast on radio and TV, invites experts to discuss, debate and analyze every important current event happening in the sports world.

En Boca de León (M-F, 7 p.m. /ET) – Features award-winning journalist León Krauze, anchor of the 6 p.m. and 11p.m. newscasts on Univision KMEX 34. Krauze discusses breaking news, politics, social issues, sports, and entertainment. “En Boca de León” delivers thought-provoking discussions and exclusive coverage of current events and issue, news and talk programming in Spanish for listeners in U.S.

Tribuna Deportiva (M-F, 8 p.m. /ET) – Hosted by Miguel Angel Mendes and Mafer Alonso, the two-hour show offers audiences the chance to participate in sports topics that they are most passionate about, while giving them the opportunity to participate in different contests, trivia and sports questions.

Fútbol Club (M-F, 10 p.m. /ET) – Two-hour magazine show meant for the fan of the beautiful game. Every soccer fan is a member of the Club for the show’s weekday airings and on weekends between the games. From Liga MX to MLS, To La Liga to UEFA Champions League to the English Premier League, Fútbol Club delivers a deep look into the protagonists of the game – an inside perspective from the players’ personal views and visions. Diego Pena, Javier Zully Ledesma, Reinaldo Navia, and Ramon Morales present the latest news, most thrilling highlights, analysis and stories from the field of play.

Linea de Cuatro (M-F, 1 a.m. /ET) – When the final whistle is blown, that’s when the action begins. Linea de Cuatro takes a passionate look at soccer stories from around the world. There are more than two sides to every story, and Linea de Cuatro dives deep into every side and angle. Simulcast on both TV and radio.

Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc.(UCI), today announced the official launch of its new national sports radio network ? Univision Deportes Radio.

Univision Deportes Radio will air a robust package of soccer matches, including more live national broadcasts featuring teams from LigaMX, CopaMX, the U.S. National teams, MLS and Liga Portugal than any other outlet. Broadcasts will include 160 live matches from the Mexican league’s first division. Fanáticos of the highly-competitive brand of soccer that these leagues offer will be treated to regular season, quarter and semi-final playoff rounds and final championship matches.

All the live action will be called and analyzed by several renowned sports experts ranging from such colorful favorites as Javier “Zully” Ledesma, Reinaldo Navia and Ramón Morales. The team will also deliver pre- and post-game shows.

Univision Deportes Radio will leverage Univision’s local radio assets and partnerships to air a varied line-up of local market games – more than 600 in total – from other major league sports teams. Local market contests will feature: MLB / Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers; NBA / Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks; MLS / FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Chicago Fire; NFL / Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals; and NHL/ Chicago Blackhawks.

The show is delivered in a fast-paced and very energetic style by its hosts: Julian Gil, Lindsay Casinelli and Ivan Kasanzew.
