RadioInsight - FCC Report 10/2: iHeart Loses Five Translators

[membership level="2,3"] Translator Dismissals/Deletions Five iHeartMedia translator applications utilized in both waves of the AM Translator Waiver Period have been dismissed and their licenses deleted as their Construction Permits expired. 99.3 W257DR Vineland NJ (previously W235BY) was intended to move to 102.5 in Philadelphia, 102.9 W275CI Scotchtown NY (W254CG) with a CP to move to 105.1 Richmond VA, 106.5 W293CW Parkersburg WV (W234BW) moving to 106.9 Cleveland, 104.9 W285FG Shorewood WI (W264CT) moving to 105.5 Dayton OH have all expired but have been replaced with applications to move a new translator to serve those same areas and intended AMs (see below). 92.1 K221GH Portland IA (K258CI) moving to 96.9 Des Moines IA rebroadcasting 1460 KXNT has not been replaced yet. Another iHeart application that was used in both waiver periods is modifying its original application and requested dismissal of its application to move to 92.9 Tampa. W225CI Port Salerno FL (W259BX) now seeks to move to 93.1 in Melbourne rebroadcasting 1240 WMMB Melbourne. Lotus Communications attempt to bring a translator to 100.7 Los Angeles to rebroadcast Spanish Sports 1330 KWKW is dead for now. 96.1 K241CF Oceanside's application was dismissed due to being in the protected contour of Cumulus Country 100.7 KHAY Ventura. Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna's applications to move 105.3 K287BQ Alvin TX to Brookside Village was dismissed for failure to show it was a minor application while 104.5 K283CH Houston's attempt to seek displacement to 99.7 was dismissed as 104.5 KKMY Orange has been operating at its current facility since 2011 not making it eligible for a displacement. Displacements are only permitted when a full-powered station moves to new facilities. Hispanic Family Christian Network's application to move 92.9 K225BR Azle TX to Fort Worth was dismissed for failure to show enough detail provided to show compliance with FCC rule 74.1204(d). 96.7 K244FC Waxahachie's displacement application to 106.5 Dallas rejected due to 96.7 KTCK-FM Flower Mound being at its currently licensed parameters since 2001. 93.7 K229CO Hillsboro TX displacement application to 92.9 Dallas rejected due to 93.7 KNOR Krum being at its facility since 2010. FM Changes Shamrock Conservative Talk " 107.3 K-News " KNEZ Fernley/Reno NV applies to change city-of-license to Hazen with no changes to its 100kW horizontal/600m facilities. After requesting its previous CP to be dismissed, Shamrock's 105.9 KZNV Amargosa Valley NV reapplies to upgrade to a Class C on 106.1 with 100kW horizontal/595m where it will rimshot Las Vegas. Iris Media applies to amend its CP for the new 98.3 Columbia MO to increase power from 8.4kW to 9.5kW while dropping antenna height from 123 to 113 meters . After the allotment of 95.9 Christoval TX that Four R Broadcasting won in FCC Auction 94 was made unavailable following the grant of a Petition for Reconsideration earlier this year, Four R seeks a wavier to move their CP to the vacant 105.9 Class C2 allotment in Stanton where it would serve the Midland/Odessa market with 50kW/89m . Foster Charitable Foundation's 94.3 KRVL Kerrville TX seeks a downgrade to a Class C3 with 13.5kW/136m . Two Way Communications' 100.5 KBLY Newcastle TX applies to move to an adjacent tower with 4.5kW/115m . Townsquare Media CHR " 107.5 Zoo-FM " KENR Superior/Missoula MT seeks to move to an adjacent tower with 100kW horizontal/260m . Cochise Media Licenses applies to increase 103.5 KDVK Dove Creek CO from a Class A to C2 with 12kW/307m . State University of New York's 91.7 WRVJ Watertown NY applies to move closer to the city with 5.4kW/33m . After its previous applications to move to 90.1 in Raymond WA were dismissed earlier this year, Chehalis Valley Educational Association now applies to move Silent 89.5 KBSG Westport WA to 90.1, while staying in its current COL and on its currently licensed 1.2kW/15m facilities. Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls' 88.1 KNMA Tularosa NM applies to move to an adjacent tower with 3.7kW vertical/504.6m . AM Changes Maria Elena Juarez has filed to withdraw her application to move Regional Mexican " Radio Fiesta 1480 " KRXR Gooding ID to 1470 Kuna in the Boise market and instead move to one of 940 KDIL Jerome's two towers with 5kW day/80w nights. Genesee Media amends its 2013 application to upgrade Sports " The Team " 1310 WRSB Canandaigua/Rochester NY to upgrade from 1kW day/night to 2.5kW day/1.3kW night from its current four towers.
