Univision has flipped Regional Mexican “Que Buena 93.3” KQBU-FM Port Arthur TX to a simulcast of Spanish CHR “Latino Mix 104.9” KAMA-FM Deer Park/Houston.
KQBU, which covers the Beaumont/Port Arthur market but acts as a Houston rimshot, held the “Que Buena” branding from 2001-2007 and from 2009 until today. It held a 0.6 share in the November 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings. The move should help KAMA-FM against Entercom Spanish CHR “Mega 101.1” KLOL, which holds a 3.8 to 2.8 share lead in the market with a stronger signal throughout the Houston market.
