Star City Broadcasting will flip Sports “Fox Sports 104.3” 1410 WSHY/104.3 W282CJ Lafayette IN to News/Talk “104.3 The Patriot” on Monday, July 23.
The station will feature a mostly syndicated line-up of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage. The station will include news reports from their sister co-owned stations. No announcement on what the station will feature in mornings.
From its headquarters on South 18th Street, local multi-media powerhouse Star City Broadcasting today announces the creation of a new FM News/Talk station, “THE PATRIOT 104.3 FM,” bringing the very popular News/Talk format back to Greater Lafayette. The station will use its recently launched FM station on 104.3, broadcasting from the heart of Lafayette, and simulcast on AM 1410 WSHY.
“This area is booming, and there has been a huge demand for news and talk on the FM dial,” said Star City General Manager Billy Huggins. “We will combine the power of top national talk shows, local personalities, and news from our growing TV stations to create a radio station that will most definitely be ‘The Voice of Greater Lafayette.’”

Born on The Fourth of July
“We signed our own declaration to create this station on the Fourth of July. The Patriot 104.3 FM will launch July 23rd at 12 noon.
