Jess Poxson has joined Townsquare Media CHR 103.3 WKFR Kalamazoo MI as morning co-host alongside Dana Marshall.

Poxson began her career in Detroit where she held roles in promotions for Cumulus, news anchor at 760 WJR, multiple roles at Country “93.1 Nash-FM” WDRQ including morning traffic reporter, midday host, and Assistant Program Director, and then weekends/fill-ins at Hot AC 96.3 WDVD, CHR “98.7 Amp Radio“, Country 99.5 WYCD, and Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC. Poxson then moved to Augusta GA for a stint as morning co-host at Beasley Media Country “Kicks 99” WKXC in 2021. In January of this year, she joined McKibbin Media Group CHR “K105.3” WKHM-FM Jackson MI as morning co-host.

In a blog post on the station’s site, Poxson wrote, “I am so thrilled to join the WKFR team here in Kalamazoo and it’s truly a full circle moment for my life and radio career. I can’t wait to wake up with you on weekday mornings with ‘Dana and Jess in the Morning’ and I’m really looking forward to getting out into the community and getting to know you. And I would love for you to get to know me too! It’s definitely been a journey getting back ‘home’ and to be able to live and work here again is such a blessing.”
