Bonneville Media AC 101.1 KOSI Denver has announced the appointment of longtime market personality Kathie J as afternoon host.
Kathie joins KOSI from middays at Max Media Rhythmic AC “Jammin 101.5” KJHM. She previously spent sixteen years co-hosting mornings at Audacy Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS with Larry Ulibarri and Kendall B from 2001 to 2017 and then reteamed with Ulibarri at Max Media’s “Flo 107.1” KFCO in 2019/20. She has also hosted local television programs for KDVR and KCDO-TV in Denver.
She succeeds Program Director Jim Lawson in afternoons.
KOSI 101.1 announced today that Denver market radio and TV veteran Kathie J has joined their on-air staff for afternoons, 2pm-6pm. Kathie J has worked in Denver radio and television for over 23 years and was part of the KQKS (KS107-5) morning show with Larry, Kendall and Kathie J. Kathie has also hosted “Colorado’s Everyday Show” on KDVR – FOX31 where she received an Emmy for “Best Lifestyle Show Host,” and hosted “The Kathie J Show” on KCDO-TV Local 3.
KOSI 101.1 program director Jim Lawson said, “I’ve been a fan of Kathie’s for over 20 years and I’m so excited for her to bring her considerable talent and experience to KOSI 101.1. She began her career in the promotions department of KOSI 101.1 and I’m happy to welcome her home.”
Kathie J commented, “I am very excited to be on KOSI101.1! KOSI has always been close to my heart and I had always hoped that my career would one day bring me back to the station that I love so much.”
Kathie begins entertaining Denver at 2pm on Wednesday, December 6th .
