Following Tuesday’s announcement of 9am-12pm host Chris Plank moving to morning drive to succeed Toby Rowland, Metro Radio Group Sports “The Ref” 1400 KREF/99.3 K257DA Norman OK has announced that ESPN and SEC Network’s Dari Nowkhah will take over the 9am-12pm show.
Nowkhah, has been the lead anchor for SEC Network since its launch in 2014 as well as a play-by-play voice for men’s basketball and baseball. The Tulsa native has been with ESPN since 2004 where he currently co-hosts a weekend radio show with Mel Kiper Jr. He previously has served as an anchor for ESPNEWS, Baseball Tonight, College Football Live and ESPNU. He will be joined on the new show by current 9am-12pm co-host Josh Helmer.
