After a decade at Audacy News 1070 KNX/97.1 KNX-FM Los Angeles, Rob Archer has departed the station.
Archer most recently had been anchoring odd numbered hours from 11am to 6pm. He wrote, “The future, as they say, is wide open. Some personal news: I’m no longer with KNX. After 10 good years, it’s hard to say goodbye to so many talented friends and colleagues. Ironically—or maybe poetically—this Saturday marks my 45th anniversary in radio. So yes, I’ve been here before. More soon.”
Archer joined KNX in 2015 as an anchor, reporter and writer after spending eight years as midday news anchor and fill-in host at iHeartMedia’s 640 KFI. He previous spent his career in music radio with roles including APD of Hot AC 104.3 KBIG Los Angeles, Program Director of Modern AC “103.5 Planet Radio” WPLL Miami, and AC 101.1 WVRI turned Rock WJRR Orlando. Archer also programmed multiple formats for Westwood One.
