Connoisseur Media Hot AC “Star 105.5” WZSR Woodstock IL is reuniting Joe Cicero and Tina Bree in mornings on November 3, eleven months after Cicero departed the station.
Cicero departed WZSR last December to become President of Promotions and Marketing for the McHenry Outdoor Theater, which he will also continue with. He and Bree had previously hosted mornings since 2009 and were also heard on sister stations “Star 96.7” WSSR Joliet and the former “Star 102.3” WXLC Waukegan in 2023-24. Since departing mornings, he has continued to host a Saturday night show on the station.
Cicero also previously programmed WZSR. He began his career at WCKG Chicago hosting overnights in 1999 and later spent time in mornings at WXLC and “92.9 Peak-FM” KKPK Colorado Springs prior to joining WZSR.
Bree has been hosting afternoons since the end of the show. She has been with the station since 2007 and also serves as Promotions Director.
Cicero told Shaw Local, “When the new owner came over, Connoisseur Media, that was the opening of the door for the Joe and Tina reboot.” Bree followed, “They are all about live and local.”
General Manager Kathleen Cahill added, “The core mission of this new company … aligns with what Star 105.5 is. Rooted in the community with local radio and local content. This is a heightened commitment to the local approach to radio.”
