Kelly Nash is taking over as host of “South Carolina’s Morning News” on iHeartMedia News/Talk 560 WVOC/103.5 W278CY Columbia and “94.3 WSC” WSCC Goose Creek/Charleston SC.
Nash will also continue to co-host “The Morning Rush” on Country 97.5 WCOS Columbia with Jonathan Rush. Nash began hosting nights on WVOC and WSCC last month. He succeeds ‘Gary David’ Barboza, who exited in iHeartMedia’s layoffs last week, while Sports Director Christopher Thompson will remain as co-host.
Nash has been a staple in the Columbia market since 2005 originally at CHR 104.7 WNOK before moving over to rejoin Rush at WCOS in 2011. He also has held roles including Program Director at WKCI New Haven CT and Universal Records.
Barboza had served as PD and morning host at WVOC for multiple decades. His show was extended to WSCC last December.
