Audacy CHR “105.5 Kiss-FM” WKXJ Rossville GA/Chattanooga TN has added the “Dex & Barbie T” morning show to the station.
WKXJ becomes the fourth market for the show based at Cox Media Group CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville and also heard in mornings on Cox’s “Power 100.1” WPUP Athens GA and afternoons on Audacy’s “B93.7” WFBC-FM Greenville SC. Dex Mitchell and Barbie T Whitmire were first paired together at SummitMedia Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.1” WHZT Greenville in 2017 where they were also syndicated internally to WKHT Knoxville, while Dex also hosted a separate morning show for KPHW Honolulu from 2020-22. They joined WAPE in February 2023.
Prior to joining WHZT, Dex previously was APD/morning host at Saga Hot AC “Mix 96.5” WOXL Asheville and hosted mornings at Galaxy Communications Rock “K-Rock” WKRL/WKLL/WKRH Syracuse/Utica NY as well as nights at Audacy Rock “Planet Radio 93.3” WTPT Greenville and morning show producer at “94.3 The X” WNFZ Knoxville.
Barbie T had spent her entire career at WHZT previously co-hosting mornings with Tone Hollywood and Mike Klein prior to Mitchell’s arrival.
WKXJ had carried The Bert Show in mornings until the show came to an end in October.
