After closing on its acquisitions for Connoisseur Media at the end if February, Christensen Broadcasting has flipped two of the four stations it has acquired and rebranded another.
Country “K101” KLQL Luverne MN, which also rimshots the Sioux Falls SD market, flipped to Rock “The Rock Farm” KCLP on Monday at noon. Northpine.com reports that the flip takes the programming that had been heard on 106.1 KJOE-HD2 Slayton as “KC Rocks” with longtime Sioux Falls area Rock personality Dan ‘Crash’ Rahman joining to host from 12-6pm.
That change follows the flip of Soft Oldies 800 KQAD to Full Service Christian AC simulcasting 99.3 K257FP Pipestone/106.1 KJOE-HD3 under new KDWC call letters to match the branding the company had been using on the HD and translator last week.
A third station has kept its format but taken on a new identity. “Jammin Country 103.1” KJAM-FM Madison SD has rebranded as “Amazing Madison 103.1” to match the branding of its local web platform. Only sister Classic Hits 1390 KJAM Madison retains its former call letters of the acquisitions.
