101.5 Freedom-FM Brings Conservative Talk To FM In Northwest Arkansas

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
May 5, 2026

101.5 Freedom-FM KXVB FayettevilleAfter stunting since Thursday with a loop of 2Pac “Changes” and ‘NSync “Its Gonna Be Me”. 479 Media flipped the former Rhythmic Throwbacks “101.5 The Vibe” KXVB Greenland/Fayetteville AR to Conservative Talk “101.5 Freedom-FM” at 10:55 this morning.

The station will feature an all-syndicated lineup including Premiere Networks’ Michael DelGiorno from 5-8am, Glenn Beck 8-11am, and Clay Travis and Buck Sexton from 11am-2pm. Also on the lineup will be Dana Loesch from 2-5pm, Joe Pags from 5-8pm, Erick Erickson from 8-11pm, and Coast To Coast AM with George Noory overnights. The station creates a local competitor to Cumulus Media’s 1030 KFAY.

General Manager Mark ‘Haystack’ Wells said, “We’re incredibly excited to bring News Talk to the FM dial in Northwest Arkansas/ This is about accessibility and service. People want to stay informed wherever they are — in the car, at work, or on the go — and FM simply delivers that experience better. Freedom FM 101.5 is built to be a daily companion for listeners who care about what’s happening locally, nationally, and financially. We’re investing in our newsroom and prioritizing timely, relevant information for Northwest Arkansas. That includes everything from breaking local news to in-depth storm coverage when it matters most.”

Owner John Lykins followed, “479 Media is proud to be Northwest Arkansas’ only locally-owned full cluster of commercial radio stations. Freedom FM 101.5 reflects our mission to serve this community with meaningful content while giving local businesses a powerful and affordable platform to reach customers. We believe there’s a real need for this kind of station, and we’re uniquely positioned to deliver it with a local-first approach.”
Freedom FM 101.5 will also be available anywhere through the 479 Media App, allowing listeners to stay connected to live programming, breaking news, and weather coverage on the go.

101.5 The Vibe KXVB Greenland FayettevilleOriginal Report 4/30: 479 Media has pulled the plug on and will launch a new format on Tuesday, May 5 at 10:55am.

The station is currently stunting with a loop of 2Pac “Changes” and ‘NSync “Its Gonna Be Me”.

General Manager Mark ‘Haystack’ Wells commented in a press statement, “We want to sincerely thank every listener, advertiser, and community partner who supported 101.5 The Vibe. The Vibe created memories, introduced great music to Northwest Arkansas, and connected with listeners in a very real way. What’s coming next is something we’re extremely excited about, and we believe it reflects where Northwest Arkansas is headed as a community and as a media market.”

Owner John Lykins said, “479 Media is proud to be Northwest Arkansas’ only locally-owned full cluster of commercial radio stations. Everything we do is built around serving the people and businesses of Northwest Arkansas. We’re committed to providing entertaining, informative, and locally-focused programming while also offering affordable and effective marketing solutions for local businesses that are often far more accessible than what corporate competitors provide.”

The Vibe format had debuted in February 2022 replacing Hot AC “101.5 My-FM”.
