More Texas translators are being targeted by the FCC for originating programming.
Hispanic Family Christian Network’s 92.9 K225BR Fort Worth, Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna’s 104.5 K283CH Houston and Primera Iglesia Evangelica de Apostoles Y Profetas’s 106.1 K291CE Houston were all issued Notices of Violation for not rebroadcasting their licensed primary station. Both Houston translators are licensed to rebroadcast Hector Guevara Ministry Corp.’s 880 KJOZ Conroe, while K225BR lists Univision’s 94.1 KLNO Fort Worth as its parent signal.
The FCC previously sent a violation notice in May to Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna’s 94.1 K231CN Houston for both originating programming along with operating with a two bay circularly polarized omni-directional antenna as opposed to its authorized directional pattern. That followed Nielsen delisting K283CH and the duo of 99.5 K258DA Houston and 99.5 K258BZ Sugar Land as the translators were being used improperly, leading to misattributed estimates in recent Houston/Galveston market surveys due to them originating programming and not being heard on their listed primary signals.
