Lotus Communications Rock 92.3 KOMP Las Vegas has made a programming leadership change as Operations Manager JD Greene will take on the Program Director role, while Brandon ‘Gooch’ Hahn will relinquish those duties to focus on his role as morning host.
Greene joined Lotus Las Vegas last November as cluster OM and PD of Classic Country “98.9 Hank-FM” K255CT/KXPT-HD2. Greene has previously held roles as VP/Programming for Leighton Broadcasting, PD/afternoon host at “Big Country 104.7” WPGB Pittsburgh, MD/afternoon host at Country “K102” KEEY Minneapolis and CHR “96.1 Kiss-FM” WKST-FM Pittsburgh, and MD/night host at CHR “Radio Now 93.1” WNOU Indianapolis and 101.9 WVAQ Morgantown WV.
Hahn has hosted mornings at KOMP since 2023 after previously spending sixteen years in afternoons.
In a shared memo to staff, Greene said, “Effective immediately, Brandon Hahn (“Gooch”) will be stepping back from his role as Program Director of KOMP. While Brandon is moving away from the day-to-day responsibilities of programming, this is not a step back from KOMP—it’s an opportunity for him to focus even more on the areas where he thrives and brings tremendous value to the station.
Going forward, Brandon will be concentrating on the KOMP Morning Show, content creation, imaging, and production. His creativity, passion for the brand, and ability to create compelling content have always been a huge part of KOMP’s success, and we’re excited to see him dedicate even more time and energy to those efforts.
I want to personally thank Brandon for everything he has accomplished as Program Director. His vision and commitment to the station have helped position KOMP for continued success.
As part of this transition, I will be assuming Program Director responsibilities for KOMP moving forward. I am excited to continue building on the strong foundation that Brandon has helped create, while working alongside him and the entire team to keep KOMP growing and winning.
Please join me in thanking Brandon for his hard work and dedication. We are fortunate to have him continuing to play such an important role in the future of KOMP, and I know his contributions in on air, imaging, and production will help take the station to even greater heights.
Thank you all for your continued hard work and commitment to our brands.
