Chicago radio legend Steve Dahl has announced the CBS contract he has been sitting out will expire on Friday, July 9 and he will announce his future intentions on Monday, July 11 at 12:00 central time.

Since being taken off the air at then “104.3 Jack-FM” WJMK, Dahl has been hosting a daily podcast at Dahl.com. Whether its just coincidental timing or not, Dahl couldn’t have asked for better timing for his contract to expire with Randy Michaels’ Merlin Media preparing to make a big impact in Chicago. Between the rumored News or Talk station on 101.1, and Dahl’s original home 97.9 WLUP coming into Merlin’s hands there could be a pair of good fits for Dahl.
