Telesouth Communications has applied to boost its 103.1 WOSM Ocean Springs/Biloxi, MS from a Class C2 with 50kW at 140 meters to a C1 with 100kW at 180 meters. The increased coverage area would add Mobile, AL to the station’s 60dBu coverage area.
Pittsburgh Public Media has requested an increase of Jazz 88.1 WYZR Bethany, WV from 1.1kW to 10kW as it attempts to boost its coverage in the greater Pittsburgh area. WYZR rimshots Pittsburgh while serving the Wheeling, WV market.
Kevin Youngers has applied to move his CP for 103.9 K280FW Del Valle, TX to 92.9 with a boost from 9 to 170 watts from Austin’s West Lake Hills. The translator is currently licensed to rebroadcast EMF’s 92.5 KVLR Sunset Valley.
Ted McCall has applied to relocate 105.9 W290BW Anderson, SC to Greenville where it will be used to rebroadcast Entercom’s 1330 WYRD with 90 watts.
Chicago Public Media has requested to relocate 91.7 W219CD Elgin, IL to 91.3 with 10 watts at 161 meters.
Carl Brasher’s 95.9 K240BL Albuquerque has applied to upgrade from 47 watts to 250 watts at 1249 meters continuing to rebroadcast Talk/Sports 1550 KIVA.
As it awaits approval of its December sale of 96.1 W241AX Boca Raton, FL to Palm Beach Radio Group, Reach Communications has applied to relocate the translator to the tower of Palm Beach Radio Group’s 1340 WPBR Lantana where it will operate with 230 watts rebroadcasting WPBR.
Clear Channel Gospel 1390 WGRB Chicago may gain an FM signal in the southern end of the market. Edgewater Broadcasting’s 99.1 W256CL Park Forest, IL has applied to increase its CP from 16 to 250 watts rebroadcasting WGRB.

Starboard Media Foundation has sold its recently granted CP for 106.9 K295CB Des Moines to Youngers Colorado Broadcasting for $5,000. The 115 watt translator is licensed to rebroadcast EMF’s 91.1 KLOV Winchester, OR.
Starboard has also sold 94.9 W235CG Ogden/Wilmington, NC to Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves for $10,000. W235CG is currently licensed to rebroadcast 93.1 WBPL-LP Wilmington.
Eastern Airwaves has also agreed to acquire 98.3 W252CZ Wake Forest, NC from W&C Broadcasting for $100,000. The translator will rebroadcast 94.7 WQDR-FM Raleigh following the sale.
Primera Iglesia Evangelica de Apostoles y Profetas has sold 103.5 K278CC Terrell Hills, TX to San Antonio Radioworks for $80,000. The 128 watt translator will give an FM signal in the southern portions of San Antonio to Soft AC/Standards “Call 1310” KAHL. San Antonio Radioworks also owns 103.7 K279AB San Antonio and can potentially now relocate one or both of the translators to improve the signal of the other.
Wildcatter Wireless is selling 104.5 K283CD and 106.3 K292GP Waco, TX to Gary Moss for $90,000. K283CD will rebroadcast 92.9 KRMX Marlin and K292GP will rebroadcast 104.9 KBHT Bellmead.

good luck and great news about WYZR! I know of many of us lost radio folk since the sale of wduq, not to say that transitioning to full time NPR/PRX/APM wasn’t a good idea as controversial as it sounds. to have a full time jazz signal in this market not only serves the wants of the captivated and surprisingly large unique pittsburgh jazz audience, but many local schools and colleges will benefit from this contour increase. The question on my mind though is what of 88.3 WRCT from CMU? not sure of the directional or nondirectional patterns of either, but i’ll definitely do some research.
