Moves made by Educational Media Foundation and Bob Stevens’ Broadcast Communications in recent months have now converged as the two groups agree to exchange three stations and a translator. Broadcast Communications and subsidiary Broadcast Educational Communications will send Silent 88.1 WKJL Clarksburg, WV and 106.9 WRIJ Masontown, PA/Morgantown, WV to EMF in exchange for 95.9 WDKL Grafton, WV and 95.3 W237CX Bridgeport, WV.

Broadcast Communications acquired both stations from He’s Alive, Inc. last year for a combined $375,000. EMF applied earlier this month to relocate WDKL to Loch Lynn Heights, MD which will enable it to become BCI’s fourth station serving the Oakland, MD market. BCI will enter into a Network Affiliation Agreement with EMF to place “K-Love” programming on WRIJ before the sale closes.

The aforementioned Broadcast Educational Communications is also acquiring 88.1 WRWJ Murrysville, PA from He’s Alive, Inc. for $75,000.

First Ventures Capital Partners sells 101.9 W270BH Bloomington, IN to The University of Indiana for $45,000. The translator has also applied to increase power to 250 watts at 212 meters where it will rebroadcast Public News/Talk/Classical 103.7 WFIU-HD2 (Coverage Map).

Syracuse Community Radio sells 90.5 WXXE Fenner, NY to State University of New York for $7,500. WXXE will join the Public News/Talk network based at 89.9 WRVO Oswego. Syracuse Community Radio was required to divest WXXE in order to launch 103.3 WSPJ-LP Syracuse as LPFM owners cannot own full powered stations.

Snake River Radio purchases Christian 1490 KRTK Chubbuck/Pocatello, ID from Inspirational Family Radio for $80,000.

Sunnylands Broadcasting transfers the CP for 103.3 in Oak Harbor, WA to Everett-Snohomish Broadcasting. Sunnylands will hold 66.67% of the new licensee, while William Wolfenbarger owner of Jodesha Broadcasting in Aberdeen will hold the other 33%.

Dimes Media purchases 98.5 K253BR Grover City/San Luis Obispo, CA from Your Christian Companion, Inc. for $60,000. The translator will rebroadcast an HD subchannel of Dimes’ 106.1 KWWV Santa Margarita.
