Towers Investment Trust sells Christian AC 92.7 WBNK Pine Knoll Shores, NC to Brad and Leslie Lanser’s Empowered Broadcasting Company for $275,000. The Lansers own 55% of Lanser Broadcasting Company’s Christian AC “JQ99.3” WJQK and Conservative Talk “1260 The Pledge” WPNW Zeeland, MI
Marvin Keith Davis’ Sandhills Broadcasting sells Carolina Beach Music 770 WLWL Rockingham, NC to station President/GM R. Lynn McCaskill’s Beach Music Broadcasting for $300,000.
Three deals contingent on one another will see Coates Consulting/Lewis County Press’ Cherokeean Herald KTLU acquire Classic Hits 1580 KTLU Rusk, TX from KTLU/KWRW Inc. for $50,000, 103.9 K280CL Rusk from Roberto and Terrie Gonzalez for $50,000, and the Cherokeean Herald newspaper for an undisclosed price.
Translator Sales
JVC Media is acquiring three Long Island translator Construction Permits from Bridgelight LLC for $120,000. 97.9 W250BX Redwood/East Hampton will rebroadcast 92.1 WLNG Sag Harbor, while 98.1 W251BY Gordon Heights and 102.1 W271BZ Tiana/Riverhead will rebroadcast Cumulus Media’s 107.9 WEBE Westport, CT. We’d expect those rebroadcasts to be temporary until the translators are moved or JVC launches an HD subchannel for one or more of its own Long Island stations.
Positive Alternative Radio swaps its 102.3 W272CC Smithfield/Newport News, VA to Liberty University for 89.7 W209BY Woodbridge, 98.9 W255CK Front Royal, 102.1 W271BR Winchester, VA and their lease of 102.5 WUSQ-HD3 from iHeartMedia to feed the latter two. Liberty will feed W272CC via 90.3 WHRO-HD3, which carries the programming of Liberty’s “88.3 The Journey” WRVL Lynchburg.
Delmarva Educational Association trades their CP for 92.1 W221DC Chapel Hill, NC to Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves for 97.7 W249CN Fairfield/Greensboro, NC. W221DC will rebroadcast Curtis Media News/Talk 680 WPTF Raleigh, while W249CN will carry Truth Broadcasting’s Christian Preaching 830 WTRU Kernersville.
Positive Alternative Radio also transfers 95.3 W237EG Boone, NC to Eastern Airwaves for a ten year rent free lease for their two other Boone translators. Eastern will utilize W237EG to rebroadcast News/Talk 1200 WXIT Blowing Rock.
