As Entercom began operating the iHeartMedia Richmond cluster as part of their pending swap, another staffer is moving to another iHeartMedia cluster.
Tamo Sein, who had served as Music Director and Afternoon Host at Alternative “XL 102.1” WRXL, will move to Charlotte to serve as Assistant Program Director/Music Director and Midday Host at Alternative “106.5 The End” WEND. She follows Chuck ‘DZL’ Thompson who jumped from WRXL to WEND as Program Director/Afternoon Host in August.
iHeartMedia Charlotte announced today that Tamo Sein has been named Assistant Program Director, Music Director and Midday Host for 106.5 The END, Charlotte’s Alternative Rock, effective immediately.
Sein will broadcast from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays on 106.5 The END, including a variety of Alternative Rock hits from artists such as Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Kings of Leon and others. As Assistant Program Director and Music Director, she will assist in the day-to-day operations of the station’s music programming and scheduling of music logs as well as be responsible for all the station’s imaging and branding. Sein will report to Chuck “DZL” Thompson, Program Director for 106.5 The END.

Sein joins iHeartMedia Charlotte from Richmond, Virginia, where she most recently served as the Music Director and Afternoon Drive Host for iHeartMedia’s XL102, Richmond’s Alternative Rock. Her background includes Music Director and on-air personality positions at stations in St. Cloud, Minnesota; Austin, Texas; and Norfolk, Virginia, where she began her career at WROX-FM. Sein is a graduate of Old Dominion University.
