Knapp, who has spent the past eleven years as APD/Afternoon Host at WIHT, will join incumbent co-host Chilli Amar starting on Monday, December 4. He fills the void created by the departure of Loo Katz in early November. He will also remain in afternoons at WIHT through the end of the year.
iHeartMedia Washington, D.C. announced today that Toby Knapp has been named as the new co-host for the morning show on 97.1 WASH-FM, Washington’s Variety of the 80’s, 90’s and Today, effective Monday, December 4, 2017. The 97.1 WASH-FM morning show broadcasts weekdays from 5 – 10 a.m.

Knapp joins WASH-FM from iHeartMedia’s HOT 99.5, DC’s No. 1 Hit Music Station & Home of “The Kane Show,” where he spent eleven years hosting the afternoon drive show and serving as Assistant Program Director. He began his radio career in Stroudsburg, PA. Knapp attended East Stroudsburg University, where he studied Mass Communication.
