Cox Media Country “93Q” 92.9 KKBQ-FM Pasadena/Houston TX has filled its afternoon opening with the addition of Caitlin ‘CJ’ Johnson.
Johnson will debut in Houston on November 11. She joins KKBQ after spending her entire career at Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville. Johnson began at WAPE as a sales assistant in 2012 before becoming night host in 2014 and Music Director/afternoon host in 2016.
CJ will fill the on=air hole created by the retirement of Cactus Jack at the end of August.
Award-winning, country music radio station, KKBQ-FM, The New 93Q, welcomes industry standout, Caitlin “CJ” Johnson, to its on-air talent lineup.
Johnson will make her Houston radio debut on Monday, November 11 th , hosting afternoon drive weekdays from 3p to 7p. She succeeds legendary host, Cactus Jack, who retired in August.

Johnson hails from Florida where she completes a four-year on-air stint with CMG Jacksonville, most recently hosting afternoon drive for WAPE-FM, a top-40s format.
