Texarkana Radio Center has flipped 740 KCMC Texarkana TX from a simulcast of Conservative Talk 107.1 KTFS-FM Texarkana AR to Sports “107.9 The Fan” with the sign-on of 107.9 K300DW Texarkana last month.
The station is mostly carrying programming from CBS Sports Radio plus the local “Leaving the Yard with Zach and the Professor” from 5-6pm daily. Chuck Zach and Tony ‘The Professor’ Kirk are high school teachers who have hosted Sports shows in the market for a decade and a half previously hosting shows at Freed AM’s “ESPN 94.1” KTRG and “Fox Sports 1400/97.1” KKTK as well as a previous incarnation of KCMC. The duo joined KTFS-FM in August in preparation for the launch of the new format in mid-October.
