Alpha Media News/Talk “FM News 101” KXL Portland has announced the promotions of three members of its news department and the addition of a fourth.
The changes start with the appointment of Brett Reckamp and Veronica Carter as co-anchors of “Portland Morning News” from 5-9am. Reckamp previously served as AM and PM news and traffic reporter for the station. Carter most recently served as Regional News Director for iHeartMedia’s Pacific Region and has also served as an anchor and reporter for KCBS San Francisco and WBBM/WGN/WIQI Chicago. They replace Steve Leader who retired in April and Rebecca Marshall who exited for a position with the American Red Cross.
KXL has also announced the promotion of Jim Ferretti from Assistant News Director to News Director and Jeremy Scott to AM/PM News & Traffic Reporter.

Jim Ferretti, KXL Assistant News Director is promoted to KXL News Director and Jeremy Scott moves up to full-time AM/PM Drive Traffic Reporter.
