Dismissals
WLBE 790 Inc.’s application for a translator on 101.7, 95.7 and then 103.5 in Leesburg-Eustis FL has been dismissed. WLBE filed for the translator for now Silent 790 WLBE Leesburg-Eustis in the 2018 filing window. After the original filing, the station proposed to move to 95.7 and correct “typos” in its coordinates, which Southern Stone Communications alleged in a Petition To Deny were major changes. Both of those applications were filed by Howard Reiner, who the company would then confirm “was not then, and is
not now, an employee or officer of WLBE,” making him ineligible to file and certify those applications on its behalf. Reiner, who has a conviction of felony money laundering would also be ineligible to be a station license holder. WLBE itself was sold to George Arroyo’s Q-Broadcasting Corporation for $75,000 last September.
