The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports than Westwood One’s syndicated financial advice/consumer affairs host Clark Howard will end his daily show at the end of 2020.
Howard began the show in 1989 at 640 WGST Atlanta before moving to Cox Media Group’s 750 WSB as afternoon host in 1991 while also contributing to Cox’s WSB-TV and Atlanta Journal Constitution. He would later be syndicated by Westwood One.
Howard told the Journal-Constitution, “Not being under the gun every week with how much content I have to generate for radio is something I’m so relieved not to do anymore. I’m at a point in my life I don’t need the money.” Howard will continue to host daily commentaries for WSB and WSB-TV, his newspaper columns, and manage his Clark.com and ClarkDeals.com, which the AJC reports generate far more revenue than his radio show does.
