ESPN’s “98.7 ESPN” WEPN-FM New York will revise its daily lineup in January following Thursday’s announcement of the move of Bart Scott & Alan Hahn from the local to national schedule.
The programming changes will see an increase in national hours in the WEPN-FM lineup, but for the first time the station will partially compete against Entercom’s 660/101.9 WFAN with local shows in morning drive. The current 9-11am show hosted by Rick DiPietro, Chris Canty and Dave Rothenberg will move to 5-8am. ESPN Radio’s national morning show Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin will follow from 8-10am as opposed to its current 6-9am clearance. With Mike Greenberg’s “Greeny” moving nationally from 1-3pm to 10am-12pm, WEPN-FM will clear both hours as opposed to just the first hour.
Bart & Hahn will continue to air from 12-2pm despite now airing nationally. The first hour of Max Kellerman’s national show remains in the 2pm hour. WEPN-FM will continue to air local shows from 3pm to 12am with the Michael Kay Show from 3-7pm, Chris Carlin 7-10pm, and Larry Hardesty 10pm-12am.
The new schedule will take effect on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
